Our home has been designed to promote orientation of living areas towards sunshine. The design is based on a maximum of 36 residents per wing, with our secure dementia wing further divided into two wings of 18 residents each. Our home meets all safety and fire requirements, with sprinklers and smoke detectors together with CCTV for security and access control for the safety of our residents.
All of our rooms are single bedrooms, each with an ensuite bathroom, varying in size from 17m² to 28m². We provide every room with a king single, electric hi-low bed with hand and foot controller and specialised pressure care mattress; nurse call; individually-controlled air conditioning/heating; and wall-mounted smart TVs.
A selection of interconnecting single bedrooms cater for couples, subject to availability. Every bedroom has sliding door access to outdoor balconies or patios and secure courtyards or walking paths.
Meals are prepared fresh on-site from a dietician-approved seasonal menu that caters for resident preferences and allergies including texture modified diets and cultural requirements where possible. Whilst we encourage residents to socialise and experience the meal service in the dining rooms with friends and family, room-service can also be arranged to resident’s individual rooms where preferred or for health-related circumstances.
Throughout our home you will find spacious lounge areas, libraries, craft rooms, games areas and multi-purpose areas such as chapel, movie theatre, music/piano area, billiard table and café which have been designed to promote socialisation with friends and family.
Our Leisure and Lifestyle team seek to gain an insight into our residents’ connection to lifestyle choices and ensure that their social history, interests, cultural and religious needs, skills, capacity and safety are reflected in their care plans.
Relatives and their families are encouraged to attend activities as part of our Leisure and Lifestyle Program to support transitions and maintain positive connections in the residents’ lives. Our monthly Leisure and Lifestyle program focuses on group activities which promote connection, integration and socialising between residents, families and staff, whilst balancing risk management strategies.
Our resident living areas are complemented by extensive garden areas complete with gazebos and a playground which can be enjoyed in the warmer weather. Many resident bedrooms have sliding door access to outdoor areas, which can be securely locked if preferred. In the cooler weather, our flower laden gardens can be viewed from inside through the large window areas in lounge rooms, resident rooms, and walkways.

With the exception of Accommodation Fees/Deposits (which are negotiated with Signature Care directly), all other fees and charges are mandated by the Australian Government (i.e. Department of Health, Department of Veterans Affairs, etc).
Room | Room Size (m2) | Accommodation Pricing Options | Details |
---|---|---|---|
Classic Room Gold | 17-22 |
| A delightful single room (17-22m² + ensuite & patio/balcony) with the following features:
|
Option 1 | Option 2 | Option 3 | Option 4 |
---|---|---|---|
Option 1 | Refundable Accommodation Deposit (“RAD”) | A RAD is a one-off lump sum payment to Signature Care. The full RAD amount is refunded upon departure of the home, less any amounts you have agreed to be deducted (if applicable) and is 100% guaranteed by the Australian Government. | |
Option 2 | Daily Accommodation Payment (“DAP”) | A DAP is a daily payment of interest on the room price which is billed monthly (i.e. a rental-type payment). Unlike the RAD, the DAP is not refundable upon departure of the home. The DAP pricing is based on the Government set interest rate at the time of entry. This is known as the Maximum Permissible Interest Rate (MPIR). This amount may vary from time to time but will be fixed at the rate of permanent entry, for the duration of the resident’s stay, based on any unpaid component of the Refundable Accommodation Deposit. As of 1st Oct 2024 – 31st Dec 2024, the MPIR is 8.38%. To calculate the equivalent DAP, multiply the RAD by the MPIR and divide by 365 for the daily rate. | |
Option 3 | Combination of RAD and DAP | The accommodation cost is paid by a combination of RAD and DAP where you choose a partial RAD amount and this will then adjust the amount you pay via the daily charge. For a combination RAD/DAP payment, multiply the remainder of the RAD by the MPIR and divide by 365. | |
Option 4 | Fully or Partially Government Supported Accommodation | Signature Care offer fully supported rooms where no accommodation contribution is required, or partially supported rooms, where only a very small accommodation contribution is required. To check if you are eligible, please complete an Income and Assets Assessment Form from the Department of Human Services (www.humanservices.gov.au) and submit to Centrelink. |
In addition to the Accommodation Fees/Deposits, the following daily fees may apply:
Accommodation can be paid all at once using a refundable accommodation deposit which is 100% guaranteed by the Australian Government.
Rather than a lump sum, accommodation can be paid for by a daily accommodation payment (DAP) which is billed monthly.
Alternatively, a percentage of the deposit can be paid which will lower the DAP cost.
